Pharmaceutical Society Declares Wednesday National Day Of Prayer For Suntai
Wednesday, January 8, has been set aside as a day of national prayer by the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) for the full recovery of Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai.
Suntai, a Pharmacist, has yet to fully recover from injuries he sustained in an air crash near Yola, Adamawa State since October 2012, even after receiving medical treatment abroad for close to ten months. The development has kept him from resuming office as governor following doubts over his actual state of health.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its president, Mr. Olumde Akintayo, the PSN noted that the national prayer by its members must center around 100 per cent recovery of the governor, both mentally and physically.
Ankintayo stated: “I wish to implore all Nigerian pharmacists and our friends to dedicate Wednesday January 8, 2014 as a day of national prayer for Pharm. Danbaba Suntai.
“Our Prayer must revolve around 100 per cent fitness levels physically and mentally to enable him resume work as governor of Taraba State in the days ahead”, the statement said.
