Bayern, Adds Club World Cup To Their Trophy-Laden Cabinet.

Bayern Munich capped their record-breaking 2013 season with a 2-0 victory over Moroccan champions Raja Casablanca to clinch the FIFA Club World Cup at the Stade de Marrakech on Saturday.
Brazilian defender Dante and summer signing Thiago Alcantara scored for the Bavarians to end Raja’s hopes of becoming the first African side to clinch the tournament.
Raja, who were considered the weakest side in the competition prior to kick-off, surprised many by recording wins against Aukland City, Monterrey and Atletico Mineiro on their route to the final.Getty Image. Bayern Players Celebrates After Winning the Fifa Club World Cup.

Despite the partisan crowd at the Stadium, Bayern, who only had Asian champions Guangzhou Evergrande to beat to book their ticket to the final, dominated possession for most of the proceedings and were already 2-0 up before the half-hour mark.
Dante placed the Bundesliga title holders in the lead when he fired past Raja goalkeeper Khalid Askri after fellow centre-back Jerome Boateng headed Xherdan Shaqiri’s corner into his path.
Bayern doubled their lead through Alcantara, who fired into the far corner from 15 yards after an Alaba assist.
After the break, Pep Guardiola’s team stepped down their pace, keeping possession and posing lesser threat at Raja’s goal.
It allowed their opponents to enjoy greater share of the ball, but failed to take their chances at some points during the encounter.
Bayern held on to a routine victory, adding the trophy to the Champions League, Bundesliga, German Cup and UEFA Super Cup titles already in their kitty.
